I have written and erased multiple messages for this page, and I continue to have difficulty articulating exactly what participating in this event means to me.  Running, walking, possibly crawling up and down the Rocky Steps for 24 hours straight seems an impossibility.  But there's a catch.  When you put 25 individuals in the same impossible situation, give them a singlular purpose, and hold them all accountable for their individual contribution, the impossible is somehow made possible.

I was introduced to Legacy of Hope just a few short days ago.  Their mission is simple - they do what they do "because we believe no family should lose their home or go without food because a loved one is fighting cancer and no promising cancer research should go unfunded."  

I will walk those steps, and I will not stop.  I will keep going because there are people out there who can't, for my grandmothers, for all those struggling, for my family, my friends, and of course for my good buddy Trevor - the one who introduced me to this great organization and a man I am proud to call a friend.

Here's how you can help - I have set an aggressive goal of raising $5,000 dollars over the next 3 weeks.  Whatever you can give, even if it's just a good vibe, will go a long way.  No cancer patients in Philadelphia, nor their families, need ever go hungry again.
