This September 13th and 14th, for the 5th year, I am incredibly honored to take on the challenge of climbing the iconic Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for an entire 24 hours!

As one of Legacy of Hope’s Sponsored 24-hour athletes, I’ll be participating in the 8th annual PHL24 endurance event—a truly special occasion dedicated to raising awareness and urgently needed funds for patients and families battling cancer. Every step, every rep, and every hour are dedicated to ensuring that no one in Philadelphia or Camden facing cancer has to worry about affording food or lacking emergency support.

This year, we’re raising the bar higher than ever before! In partnership with Brown's Super Stores, our 2025 fundraising goal is an ambitious $250,000. This bold target reflects the growing and critical needs of our community: so many patients simply cannot access the essentials during the hardest battles of their lives. With your support, we’ll be able to make meaningful progress toward building the David N. April Emergency Patient Support Center. This state-of-the-art facility will be a vital safety net, providing emergency assistance to cancer patients and their families when all other resources have been exhausted.

Reaching our $250,000 goal will ensure:

• Immediate relief for families experiencing food and or housing insecurity during treatment
• Continued progress on the David N. April Emergency Patient Support Center, a cornerstone for hope and critical care for cancer patients and their families in Philadelphia and Camden
• That no family has to face cancer alone, abandoned, or unsupported.

As a member of the 24-hour athlete team, I am committing to give every ounce of effort, every moment of perseverance, and every step of those 24 hours to ensure that cancer patients and their families never have to face their struggles alone.
