On March 30, I'll be running the Philadelphia Love Run Half Marathon in memory of Savannah, whose strength, courage, and joy continue to inspire so many. With her birthday approaching on April 6, I want to honor her legacy by supporting families affected by cancer through Legacy of Hope, ensuring they never go hungry or lose their homes.

As a Philly Runs Free fundraising athlete, I'm committed to raising at least $250 to help provide meals and financial relief to those burdened by cancer. Every mile I run will be dedicated to those facing battles they never chose, just as Savannah did with unwavering bravery. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to ensure no family in Philadelphia suffers food insecurity due to a cancer diagnosis.

This mission became even more personal on February 7, when I was hit by a car while crossing the street. The night before the accident, I had decided to run this race after seeing an ad about the money raised helping cancer patients and their families. In that moment, I knew I needed to set up my fundraising page in Savannah's memory. I truly believe she was watching over me the next morning, my guardian angel, just as she continues to be for so many of us. Now, I’m focused on recovering and hope to get in a few weeks of running before race day, honoring Savannah's strength every step of the way!
