The goal is simple: ensure families in Philadelphia with a loved one fighting cancer never go hungry again.

Each week, families across Philadelphia with a loved one fighting cancer are faced with housing or food insecurity. In partnership with Philadelphia Hospitals, Legacy of Hope created the Emergency Patient Support Network to quickly identify and provide critical emergency support and resources to financially disadvantaged cancer patients, with the goal of preventing hunger and homelessness.

On March 30th, 2025, I am running the Philadelphia Love Run as a sponsored athlete to support Legacy of Hope with their mission of ensuring no cancer patient has to make the choice between paying their rent or putting food on the table for themselves and their families. I run in honor and memory of my Dad, Peter C. McVeigh, who lived every day of his life in service to others. I run to carry on his legacy of taking care of those who need it most. I run, for those who cannot.

I promise to train and race hard, but I need your support. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in the life of someone who needs it most.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

With gratitude,

Meg
