This March, I will be running the Love Run Half Marathon in an effort to raise funds for the Legacy of Hope organization. These funds will be contributed to the families of Phildadelphia with a loved one battling cancer. As my family has recently and tragically witnessed through the passing of my Uncle Jim Schlitter, the battle against cancer is a long hard road - and those supporting a loved one along the way should not have to worry where their next meal or rent payment might come from.

Though I'm not sure Uncle Jim was much of a runner (more of a self-proclaimed swimmer), he was a damn hard worker and that is nothing shy of what I'll have to do to complete 13.1 miles. No better way to demonstrate hard work in the memory of my Uncle Jim, than to do it while helping families get through the same struggles his family had to face during his battle against cancer.
